Unhappy with the plastic feel of his iPhone 3GS, romazzino used CAD to design a titanium back cover for his device."Basically I designed a new back cover for the 3GS. I had the original cover measured digitally, and I then started to draw the new cover in CAD. It's made out of a special titanium alloy that is RF transparent. I had tried aluminum but that was a complete disaster."
Romazzino didn't post the material cost of the titanium used. If reasonable I'm sure many people would love a phone that matched their MacBook or iMac. Personally I find the Apple logo far to large but otherwise the mod looks great!
